Three Easy Valentine’s Day Treats for Kids
For Valentine’s Day this year, make homemade treats with your family. Each recipe below has two ingredients or less, making them kid-friendly and very tasty without tons of sugar. I love the idea of getting your kids in the kitchen from a young age because it can build their confidence, can prevent picky eating, helps with vocabulary, math and reading skills and, when done, they can enjoy their creation. For little kids, it can help with their fine motor skills: stirring, measuring, whisking, rolling and more can help with their development.

Pour 2 cups of milk of choice into a blender (I prefer almond milk).
Add 5 medium-to-large strawberries and blend on high for 45-60 seconds or until it’s blended smooth.

Dip rim of glass into melted chocolate, if you like, and pour strawberry milk into a cup and enjoy.

Chocolate Lollipops
- 1 Lollipop Stick
- Chocolate
- Sprinkles
Take a lollipop stick (available at craft stores or online), and place it on a parchment-lined cutting board or plate.
Melt chocolate, and using a spoon (or a squeeze bottle filled with melted chocolate), drizzle chocolate on one end of the lollipop stick, creating a heart or circle.
Make sure to overlap your design on the top of the stick. Add sprinkles and place in the fridge for about 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
Be patient, have fun, appreciate the mess, and remember that you’re creating memories and traditions that will last forever.
